Color

The colors on this double spread are a good representation of the magazine Mixmag, because the color of this background is black so everything that is placed on top of it would stand out more. The color of the important writing is yellow, yellow is a mutual color that attracts the target audience of both boys and girls. The colors on this double spread page are bright and very eye catching, this creates a loud and vibrant atmosphere to the readers, so it gives the impression that this magazine is mostly suited for a target audience that like loud/dance music type.

Design

The main text on this page is "Break Core", this is written in larger bold text, also the two colors of white and yellow, contrast so it makes the two pieces of text stand out more from each other. The main image on this double page spread is obviously about the festival/party "Break Core". The image contains normal people who attended this party/festival, the people in this image are late teenage, between the age of 18/20 years old. This represents to an audience of them ages, because it's something that the audience could think about attending, as from the image it looks like fun. Also the people in the image are having fun, and all have their hands in the air, where the music was enjoyable shows us that it was a good night to be at, and the readers may inspire to be like them in the image, wanting to have a good night out. Around the edgers of the photo, there are smaller image of artists and their album artwork, which shows us who was played and featured at this party/festival, this also attracts the audience because if they can find out the music information that was played that night, and may give them more of a reason to attend.
